Our Heritage

Craftsmanship runs deep in our veins. In 1964, our founding father, Ron Fournier, began his journey at Holman Moody, Ford’s legendary NASCAR operation, where his extraordinary talent with metal quickly set him apart. Mentored by the renowned Luigi "Lujie" Lesovsky, Ron honed his skills under one of the greatest race car craftsmen in history.

After time with Holman Moody, Ron returned to Michigan to work at Kar Kraft, Ford’s private skunkworks for the iconic Ford GT Le Mans program. His contributions included fabricating the famous bundle-of-snakes exhaust headers and other critical components. From there, his expertise took him to Roger Penske’s racing team and later to A.J. Foyt, where he achieved his goal of building an Indy car from scratch before turning 30.

In 1991, Ron and his wife, Sue, founded Fournier Enterprises, where they left an indelible mark on the industry. Beyond his work, Ron shared his passion through workshops, teaching NASCAR teams, military aircraft technicians, and even fine artists the art of metal fabrication. His tools, books, and instructional DVDs continue to inspire craftspeople worldwide.

Today, we proudly carry forward Ron’s legacy—combining his unmatched skill, dedication, and spirit of innovation to create timeless masterpieces for a new generation of enthusiasts
